My yoga journey began with Yin yoga. I branched out into Hatha and Iyengar yoga. I fell in love with the practice because I loved the way I could not worry about what everyone else was doing during practice. I found strength and confidence that I never knew I could even have. In 2021, I decided to do my 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training because I wanted to the opportunity to give someone else the same feelings and experiences I receive from yoga. I have been instructing for 2 years at
I am a Certified Personal Trainer by the AAAI & ISMA. I work with clients of all ages and fitness levels. I have completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Yoga Alliance and I have attended several yoga workshops in Costa Rica for continuing education. The practice of yoga for me is deeply personal and helps me calm my mind and be able to focus in other areas of my life. I combine aspects of yoga and strength training with my clients.
I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. After taking my first class in 2013, I have redirected my life by changing my diet and implementing wellness and self-care into my routines. I expanded my knowledge and committed to a 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2016. Since then I have gone on to take a 100 hour yin yoga training and a 300 hour teacher training that focused on anatomy, assisting, sequencing, cueing to a peak pose, and pranayama. I currently teach slow flow vinyasa and yin yoga.
I began practicing yoga in 2009 as a way to stretch and find balance among my routine of lifting weights and running. While that physical balance is still a great benefit of yoga, I have found many other benefits of the practice. I have been working with clients as a Certified Personal Trainer since 2011 and eventually got my RYT-200 training in 2023. I immediately added n to my training and hold my RYT-500 hour distinction. I continue to add professional development in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy.
I am a retired research scientist/microbiologist who has practiced yoga for over 30 years and studied qigong for over four years. I became a 200 RYT certified yoga instructor in 2018. I am certified in Level 1 (Qi Activation), Level 2 (Qigong for Healers) and Level 3
(Becoming a Powerful Healer) Spring Forest Qigong (2022-2024) and I also
completed the “Heal from Within” qigong course through Siu Ping Negrin (2021).
I teach vinyasa and yin yoga. I am passionate about health & wellness and want to help others. Yoga has always been something I love and find relaxing. Teaching others is empowering and gives me joy knowing others can have a place to destress, unwind, and connect mind/body/spirit to achieve an increased overall well-being. The benefits of yoga go beyond just a physical practice on the mat, and extends to every day life as well. I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
My 200 hour yoga certification is in the style of power vinyasa yoga and I have over 1000 teaching hours of experience. I teach chair yoga, yin and restorative, gentle mindful mobility and movement and more. I have taken trauma informed yoga training, I am a certified Sound Healing Practitioner and Reiki Level I Practitioner and I incorporate all of these into my classes. I help students create a deeper connection to their most authentic Self through breath, sound and movement.
